BE INSPIRED 2020.

Be Inspired is an event that seeks to Inspire, Empower and Equip care experienced young people, who want to take hold of their future, learn about different career opportunities and connect with each other.

The first event took place in August 2019 and after the overwhelmingly positive feedback from young people, speakers, panel guests and performers as well as exhibitors, we decided to bring the experience back in 2020.

After growing up in care from the age of 4, founder Ashley John-Baptiste, now a Senior BBC Reporter and Presenter, has always had his mind set on creating something for young people with similar stories to his own that would help them believe in themselves, see a better future and find out about all the opportunities out there. Opportunities that are there for anyone – regardless of background, and help them find ways to access those.

Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, we will no longer host this experience in person, but are instead, curating encouraging, relevant, inspiring and interactive ONLINE content for care experienced Young People to participate in

schedule.

In The shows (Monday and Friday) which will be streamed via this website (password required) we will discuss relevant topics, offer insight into practical tools available for care experienced young people and have a whole lot of fun!

In between the shows there will be an extensive program of workshops and panel sessions.
It will be a week to remember – and to be honest, what else is there to do 😉
